Gandhinagar: Talking about the stray cattle-hit incidents happened with Vande Bharat Express in the last two days in Gujarat, Union Minister for Railways, Ashwini Vaishnaw said, “the train is designed in such a way and the train is so sturdy that nothing will happen if there’s an accident, and the frontal nose is replaceable. So when the train reached Mumbai, its front part was cleaned and replaced.”
The Railway Minister was speaking at Anand while interacting with the students.

“This train is designed with much thought, as in India the tracks are on land and cattle move on land. We can’t stop the cattle from moving, and till we elevate the railway track in next five six years, till then the train moving at the speed of 12okmph or 130kmph on land will bump into such animals, it is a matter of common sense and design. Therefore we have designed the trains in a manner that whenever such incidents occur the train can be repaired instantly,” he added.
