Dwarka Sudama Setu bridge temporarily closed for visitors
October 31, 2022
Dwarka: The local administration of Devbhumi Dwarka district has temporarily closed the Dwarka-based Sudama Setu bridge in the wake of the Morbi hanging bridge collapse tragedy in which over 140 persons are dead. A cable suspension bridge in the pilgrim town Dwarka connects the portion behind the Dwarka temple to a nearby island of religious importance. The bridge over the Arabian Sea can be accessed on foot through ticket entry. The Government has now decided to conduct a fitness check for the Dwarka suspension bridge and also to form the rules and regulations that may include a cap on the number of visitors. DeshGujarat
