Kutiyana MLA Kandhal Jadeja quits NCP
November 14, 2022
Porbandar: Nationalist Congress Party (NCP)’s a lone legislator in Gujarat Assembly, Kandhal Sarman Jadeja has resigned from the party after denial of a ticket on Kutiyana seat where Kandhal is sitting MLA since 2012. Kandhal was getting elected in his own capacity and NCP banner had nothing to contribute to his win. On the last day of filing nomination today, Kandhal tendered his resignation from the party as he found the party is not going to give its banner to him this time. Congress and NCP have made an alliance this time only for three seats – Naroda, Devgadh Bariya, and Umreth. Kutiyana is not part of the alliance. Both Congress and BJP have announced their candidates on Kutiyana seat already. Elected from NCP, Kandhal has been always a BJP-supporting legislator, be it the Rajya Sabha election of Presidential election. Congress kept Kutiyana out of alliance with NCP for the same reason.
