PM Modi addresses public meetings in Mehsana

Mehsana: Prime Minister kicked off today’s campaign with addressing a public rally in Mehsana of North Gujarat.

While addressing the people he said, “BJP govt laid 80,00 km transmission lines across Gujarat, added thousands of new transformers, 100s of new substations, 20 lakh new electricity poles. In 20 years, power connections went up from 55 lakh to over 2 crore, Agricultural power connections 5 lakh to 20 lakh.”

“In 20 years in Gujarat, coal based power generation rose from 55 MW to 17,000 MW, Solar power from negligible to 8,000 MW, Wind power none to 20,000 MW, Hydro power from 500 MW to 800 MW, gas generated power 2,000 MW to 4,000 MW today, Gujarat tops in Solar rooftop power,” he added.

Mahesana has today 11 degree and 12 diploma engineering colleges. In 20 years Mahesana's engineering college seats rose from 600 to 4,000. Diploma – 600 to 6,000 seats.
