Kejriwal’s road show: Two police complaints over damage to public property filed in Katargam

Surat: Katargam Police booked three AAP cadres on the complaint of the Surat Municipal Corporation (SMC).

SMC’s assistant engineer Hemant Patel filed a complaint in Katargam police station against AAP cadres Piyush Varsani (21), Tulsi Lalaiya (30) and Rajnikant Vaghani for indulging in a fight with SMC staff.

AAP cadres had demolished a road divider in the Katargam area for a full-width road-show of Arvind Kejriwal at Dhanmora char rasta on Sunday night. This resulted in a major traffic problem in the area. The SMC staffers started rebuilding the road divider the next day at around noon. However, the AAP mobs gathered there indulged in arguments and slogan chanting, and later tried to break the rebuilt divider.

Meanwhile SMC deputy engineer of Katargam zone, Jinendra Topiwala has filed a complaint at Katargam police station for breaking 12 guard stones on November 28th on the road from Katargam Valinath chowk to Dhanmora char rasta. The damage to public property was worth Rs. 5,436 as per the complaint. DeshGujarat
