Gujarat likely to host 13 G20 meetings

Gandhinagar: The state administration is gearing up for the upcoming 13 key G20 (Group of 20) meetings which will be held in Gujarat over the next year under the Indian presidency of G20.

In this regard, Chief Secretary Pankaj Kumar held a meeting with various state department officers and is also coordinating with the union ministry of external affairs.

According to the sources, Key G20 events relating to banking, finance, trade and investment, urban development, tourism and women’s empowerment, energy, environment and climate,  among others, will be hosted by the state.

Even though the final schedule has not been prepared, the state capital Gandhinagar and Ahmedabad will host most these G20 meetings.
