Surat Police to reward those who bring accident victims to hospital

Surat: Surat Police has announced a new initiative called the ‘Good Samaritan Award’, for this police will give up to ₹ 1 lakh to those who bring an injured person to the hospital within one hour after an accident.
Surat police states in a press note that those who bring an injured person to a hospital within one hour after an accident can inform about it on a traffic police helpline WhatsApp number 74340 95555. The state government will give such persons the ‘Good Samaritan Award’. It will include a cash prize from ₹5000 to ₹ 1 lakh, a trophy, and a certificate.
