ACB Gujarat nabs Sarpanch in bribe case

Vapi: Anti-corruption Bureau (ACB) Gujarat has nabbed the sarpanch of Chibhadkutch gram panchayat in Vapi taluka of Valsad in a bribe case of Rs 10 thousand.
The complainant ran the business of building material supply. His truck filled with sand, grit, and clay passed from Chibhadkutch village while delivering it to a construction site. The accused sarpanch Kalpeshbhai Parbhubhai Patel demanded a bribe of Rs 15 thousand from him to let the complainant’s trucks pass from the village. The amount was reduced to Rs 10 thousand after an argument.
The complainant contacted ACB as he was not willing to pay the bribe. The accused was found taking a bribe of Rs 10 thousand from the complainant during a trap executed by ACB. The accused is detained.
