Night Half Marathon at Sabarmati Riverfront on January 21st

Ahmedabad: City Police has planned a Night half Marathon event on January 21st post 5.00 pm at Sabarmati Riverfront for awareness regarding good physical and mental health, the upcoming G20 summit, and anti-addiction drive. 5 km,10 km, and 21 km runs will be organized during the event. The run will start from the event centre in Paldi. The marathon is a timed marathon and chips will be used to register the completion time of the participant. The present of celebrities, performances from the stages, and police band music will be the added attractions during the event. Amdavad Municipal Corporation (AMC) will partner with the event. Traffic restrictions shall be in place during the event on the 21st of January evening. Minister of State for Home, Harsh Sanghavi will grace the occasion. According to the Police, over 72,000 persons have registered for the event. Earlier the event was to be organized last year, however, due to the election season, the event was postponed. DeshGujarat
