Ahmedabad Metro Operating Hours Increased
January 17, 2023
Gandhinagar: The operating hours of Ahmedabad Metro trains shall be 7 am to 10 pm instead of 9 am to 8 pm currently.
Gujarat Metro Rail Corporation (GMRC) has in a note stated today:
Gujarat Metro Rail has received various representations to enhance the present Ahmedabad Metro Phase-I timetable, which at present is from 0900 Hrs to 2000 Hrs.
In this respect, especially considering the facility to students and office/job-going commuters, Gujarat Metro Rail has decided to increase passenger timings from 0700 Hrs to 2200 Hrs effective from 30-01-2023.
At present, Metro is available every 18 minutes on the East-West line (Vastral Gam to Thaltej) and every 25 minutes on the North-South line (Motera to APMC). However, it will be possible to reduce this to every 15 minutes based on demand & traffic.
After running the Metro train for one month with the increased time period and after studying demand, the decision on the future timetable will be taken.
