Surat: The Southern Gujarat Chamber of Commerce & Industry and Surat Embroidery Association have jointly held Surat International Textile And Machinery Expo- SITME 2023′ at Surat International Exhibition and Convention Center from 4th March to 6th March 2023.

Himanshu Bodiwala, the president of the chamber of commerce, said while addressing a press conference that the exhibition will be held across a 1.25 lakh square feet area and the buyers from textile cities across the country will visit the exhibition. The high-speed machines of the latest technology for embroidery will be exhibited there. The vice president of the chamber Ramesh Vaghasia said that the union state minister of railways and textile Darshana Jardosh will inaugurate the exhibition at 10 pm on 4th March at the Platinum Hall. Surat municipal commissioner Shalini Agrawal will remain present as a special guest on this occasion.

Surat Embroidery Association president Sandip Duggal said that SITME exhibition was previously held in January 2020. The ultramodern machineries of textile will be exhibited in the exhibition, he added.

Total 15 thousand buyers from the country have made online registrations. SITME 2023 exhibition chairman Vijay Mevavala said that 60 exhibitors from Surat and Ahmedabad have participated in SITME. Over 20 thousand buyers are expected to visit the 3-day exhibition. DeshGujarat
