River bridge construction over Hathmati to complete in 18 months

Himmatnagar: A 180-meter over-bridge is being built between the post office and Bholeshwar on Hathmati river in Himmatnagar at a cost of Rs 14.53 crore. The agency is likely to complete the work within 18 months. The bridge will be around 16 meters wide.

The state government had approved Rs 14.53 crore for a 180-meter over-bridge connecting the post office and Bholeshwar on Hathmati river. The agency has started the work two months ago. The work for installing 4 pillars is underway in the riverbed.

The old bridge used to remain closed during monsoons due to the flow of the river. People willing to go to Bholeshwar- Parabda from the main post office of Himmatnagar had to reach via the bypass or Mahetapura. The new bridge will give relief to commuters and locals. DeshGujarat
