Surat Congress leader Aslam Cyclewala booked in third extortion case

Surat: Congress leader and former councilor of Surat Municipal Corporation (SMC) Aslam Cyclewala has been booked in a third case of extortion. Cyclewala and two others are booked on a complaint of Kuldip Dohare, the manager working with Bajaj Alliance General Insurance Company.
According to the complaint, on last first of March, Aftab Tahir Patel and other unidentified persons had come to Kuldip’s office in the Adajan area and issued a threat for approoving insurance mediclaim for a six-year-old girl child.
Aftab and the other person had allegedly taken Congress leader Aslam Cyclewala’s name while issuing a threat that if mediclaim is not passed, and Rs. 10,000 sum is not paid, the manager would be killed by gunshot. A complaint in Adajan Police Station also stated that the Assistant manager of the insurance company Nilesh Parmar also was harassed through WhatsApp chat.
Adajan Police has filed an extortion case against Aslam Cyclewala and two other persons. This is the third such case filed against Aslam. Earlier he was booked in Limbayat and Udhna police stations for different complaints. DeshGujarat
