Child paralyzed after Police torture; Juvenile Court orders filing of crime against accused

Chhota Udepur: The district juvenile court has ordered registering of crimes against 9 policemen including Local Crime Branch’s Police Inspector for beating up a child to the extent that he became paralysed.

The child was picked up for investigation into Jabugam murder case last year. The murder took place last year on 6 November, following which a victim child was called to the LCB police station. LCB staff beat up the child and his father till November 14. Due to excessive torture, the child suffered injuries following which he was taken to different hospitals for medical treatment. Eventually, he was found paralyzed.

The Father of victim child had moved to juvenile court. The court has directed police to file a crime against the accused and summoned LCB PI Kothiya, PSI Damor, Jashwant Singha, Lakhansinh, Vimal, Kaharsinh, Rajeshbhai, Mukeshbhai, Hiteshbhai on May 22. DeshGujarat
