Three Govt engineers suspended in Mindhola bridge collapse incident

Gandhinagar: Gujarat government has taken a decision to suspend Superintendent Engineer, Deputy Superintendent Engineer, and Assistant Superintendent Engineer with immediate effect after a slab of the newly constructed bridge over river Mindhola in Tapi district collapsed. The decision of suspension has been taken at the level of Chief Minister.

The bridge collapsed on 14 June morning. The Chief Minister had ordered a probe into the incident. As per the probe report, there were serious lapses in the quality of the material used to construct this bridge.
