Gujarat govt approves 45 percent high-risk allowance for ATS cops

Gandhinagar: The Government of Gujarat has decided to give a high-risk allowance equal to 45 percent of the pay including the sixth pay commission to the staffers of the Anti Terrorist Squad (ATS) of Gujarat Police.

The decision has been taken at the Chief Ministerial level considering the fact that the ATS cops take great risks for the protection of the citizens and the State against anti-national activities.

Minister of State for Home, Harsh Sanghavi in a tweet thanked the Chief Minister for this decision. He in his tweet stated: Police Officers – Employees of ATS who are ready to show their devotion towards duty by fighting against anti-national activities day and night even at the greatest risk for the protection of the citizens and the state, will be given high-risk allowance equal to 45% of the pay including Sixth Pay Commission. I heartily thank Hon’ble Chief Minister Shri Bhupendra Patel for taking this decision for the welfare and interest of the police personnel of ATS. The state government is committed to providing dedicated police personnel whose preparedness gives citizens a sense of security. DeshGujarat
