Heavy to very heavy rainfall to continue in Gujarat over the week: IMD

Gandhinagar: The India Meteorological Department (IMD) has predicted that heavy to very heavy rainfall is highly likely in various parts of Gujarat. Several places districts of the state are expected to experience heavy rain from July 19 to 23. Additionally, the state as a whole can expect light to moderate rain and thundershowers throughout the week.
Specifically, today i.e July 19th, places such as Junagadh, Porbandar, Jamnagar, Bhavnagar, Valsad, Daman, and Dadra Nagar Haveli are likely to witness very heavy rainfall with extremely heavy falls.
The Director General of IMD, Dr. Mrutyunjay Mohapatra, also issued a video statement containing the warning of heavy rainfall in South Gujarat areas in the next 24 hours

Heavy rains at isolated places are very likely in the districts of the Gujarat region, namely Sabarkantha, Aravalli, Anand, Mahisagar, Vadodara, Bharuch, and Dang, and in the districts of Saurashtra, namely Porbandar and Junagadh.

On July 23, Heavy rains are very likely at isolated places in the districts of the South Gujarat region, namely Dang, Navsari, and Valsad; in Daman, Dadara Nagar Haveli; and in the districts of Saurashtra, namely Porbandar and Dwarka.
