Home Guard Commandant held in bribe case by ACB Gujarat in Ahmedabad

Sabarmati: Anti Corruption Bureau (ACB) of Gujarat Police has nabbed Mukesh Shah (51), Home Guard Division Commandant of Division – 7 in Shahibaug area of the city today for demanding and taking the bribe from a Home Guard jawan for not causing him trouble and also for allowing to continue his services.
Accused commandant was trapped by ACB Police Inspector DN Patel and team near Ghoda Camp gate in Meghaninagar area.
A person who was serving in Home Guards as a jawan is a complainant in this case. He had approached ACB and said that the accused Shah had demanded bribe for not causing harassments to him and to allow his services to continue. The accused according to a complainant had demanded Rs. 10,000 bribe and by pressure collected Rs. 7,000 installment. The accused had come for collecting Rs. 3,000 as a second installment of bribe money when he was trapped by ACB. DeshGujarat
