CR Patil defamation case; 3 out on bail, 2 on remand

Surat: The court here approved 3-day remands of the accused Vijay Tank in the case in which he faces allegation of demanding a ransom of Rs 8 crore from state BJP president CR Patil.
The crime branch had previously nabbed the accused Jinendra Shah from Ahmedabad after a complaint was filed against him. The complaint stated that the accused Jinendra Shah demanded a ransom of Rs 8 crore by giving threats to make a video viral on social media, in which he makes allegations of corruption against state BJP chief CR Patil. The crime branch got his 3-days remand from the court. The crime branch nabbed another accused Vijay Tank in this case and got his 3-days remand.
The accused Vijay Tank allegedly helped Jinendra Shah to prepare a script of the video. The accused allegedly made a video making allegations of corruption against state BJP chief CR Patil using abusive, provocative and defamatory words. The accused Vijay Tank made arranged a room in JK Hotel, Morbi for his accomplice Jinendra Shah using the name of Nilesh Poshiya. The accused Vijay Tank had also made fake voter IDs of Jinendra Shah and his wife Nirali Shah of Assam state.
The three accused namely Dipu Yadav, Rakesh Solanki and Khumansinh got bail in the case of defamation of state BJP chief CR Patil, MLA Sandip Desai and Mukesh Desai. The three accused made allegations of corruption against state BJP chief CR Patil, MLA Sandip Desai and Mukesh Desai in a pendrive and a leaflet. MLA Sandip Desai filed a complaint in this case. The crime branch had demanded 4-days remand of the 3 accused in the court. However, the court rejected the remands. DeshGujarat
