Ambaji Gabbar hill parikrama route closed partially after leopard sighting
August 08, 2023
Ambaji: The Parikrama route of Gabbar has been closed for devotees in the late evening and early morning hours here. The decision was taken after a wild leopard was spotted in the morning on Sunday in this area.
Labourers working on the hills spotted a leopard and captured its presence on video using their mobile phones. After verifying the leopard’s presence, the forest department installed 4 to 5 cages at different locations on the hill in an attempt to capture the leopard. Additionally, the forest department initiated live monitoring by installing tap cameras. As a precaution, devotees and pujaris are currently prohibited from accessing the Parikrama Path during the early morning and late evening hours. DeshGujarat
