Gandhinagar: The Gujarat government is preparing to table seven crucial bills and a few other political resolutions during the upcoming monsoon session of the Gujarat legislative assembly, scheduled from September 13 to 15.
One of the probable bills concerns legislation aimed at dismantling the properties of individuals involved in causing harm to public assets.
The government has indicated that several states have established strong disincentives against rioters and troublemakers who frequently cause harm to public assets. These states have enacted legislation that permits the recovery of damages to both public and private properties from individuals causing losses through their actions. These laws also incorporate provisions for demolishing the properties of such rioters. Following a thorough study of these laws, the Gujarat government has decided to implement a similar law in the state.
In addition to this, other bills anticipated to be tabled during the three-day session encompass a medical university bill, a common universities bill, a bill reorganizing the appointment of directors for the PDEU, and a bill related to GST.
Additionally, it is anticipated that legislators from the ruling party will put forth resolutions in support of implementing a uniform civil code (UCC) and inaugurating the Ram Temple in Ayodhya. DeshGujarat
