Rajkot: Following departure from Rajkot airport, an IndiGo Airlines flight en route to Mumbai made an emergency landing at Ahmedabad airport on Friday night due to technical complications.
IndiGo Airlines flight IGO 5222, responsible for the Mumbai-Rajkot route, experienced a delay upon arrival at Rajkot airport, landing an hour past its planned 6:40 pm schedule. Subsequently, after taking off from Rajkot at 8:20 pm towards Mumbai, the flight encountered technical issues shortly after takeoff, prompting a diversion to Ahmedabad airport for an emergency landing.
The flight was carrying 175 passengers on its Mumbai-bound journey. The technical glitch during takeoff sparked concerns among the passengers. However, the airline arranged an alternative aircraft to transport passengers from Ahmedabad to Mumbai, with a departure set for 11:00 pm. Eventually, passengers arrived in Mumbai at midnight through the replacement flight. DeshGujarat
