Gujarat CM inaugurates cath lab at Rajkot civil hospital

Rajkot: Gujarat Chief Minister Bhupendra Patel today inaugurated a cathlab at Civil Hospital here. He also dedicated 25 city buses. Rs. 10 crore cathlab is equipped with the latest instrument. It will serve the needy heart patients in this public hospital. During his visit to the civil hospital, the Chief Minister inquired about the services offered.

With this facility, the government said, the heart patients from Saurashtra and Kutch region will get medical treatment at Rajkot itself and they will not need to travel up to Ahmedabad. This is the first such cath lab set up under Pradhanmantri Swasthya Suraksha Yojana. Next, such a facility will come up in Bhavnagar and Surat.

On the 5th floor of PMSSY building of Rajkot Civil Hospital, a super speciality heart disease department is located in which the latest cath lab, 2D eco etc facilities are offered.

All treatments related to the heart such as angiography, angioplasty, pacemaker planting, detection etc. will be available for free for Ayushyaman card holders.

Civil Superintendent Dr. RSTrivedi said, treatment facilities will be available including coronary angiography, angioplasty, endoscopic examination of heart vessels, devices to improve heart pumping, procedures to find out how bad the stenosis is in the coronary arteries, diagnostics in the electrical system related to the heart. For the smooth running of the cath lab department, a team including expert cardiologist, cardiovascular thoracic surgeon including resident doctor, medical officers, nursing staff, and laboratory staff will be working on duty.

CathLab- Digital Mammography System, Computerized Radiography Unit, TMT Machine, Cardiovascular Electrophoresis and Radiofrequency Ablation System, 12 Channel ECG in Cardiology Department. Machine, OCT & FR Integrated System, High-End Echocardiology System, Portable Echocardiology System, Echocardiography System with Advanced 2D Facility, Single Plane Cardiovascular Catheterization with Digital Subtraction Angiography Lab, 3D Mapping, Portable Color Doppler, 800 mA Digital X-ray Unit with Single Detector (Floor Mounted), Color Doppler System 40, Flexible Cyst Nephroscope, General Surgery Instrument Set, Mobile C-Arm Image Intensifier, Intraoperative Neurophysiological Monitoring System, Tapp Cystoscope & Optical Urethrotome, Neurosurgical Operating Microscope, High-Speed ​​Electrical Drill System are installed.
