Beheading calls in Eid procession in Vadodara; three booked

Vadodara: Police have arrested three people while taking action against a DJ for playing slogans of ‘Sar Tan Se Juda’ (beheading call for insult of prophet) during Eid-e-Milad procession in Vadodara.

The names of the accused are

1. Haider Khan Pathan (organizer of procession)

2. Sarfaraz alias Chhotu alias Kalia Ansari (one who told to play such slogans)

3. Rahul Radheshyam Dhobi (one who executed the task as per Sarfaraz’s instruction)

Among the accused, one Rahul is the owner of DJ Band that played ‘Sar Tan Se Junda’ in procession. Police have seized the DJ band equipment.

An Eid-e-Milad procession was taking place in Muslims populated areas only, hence no one raised any objection to ‘Sar Tan Se Juda’ track. Also, many DJs were playing simultaneously, hence the police present on the ground could not hear clearly at that time. But later the police started investigating the matter. Meanwhile, the video went viral last night, till then all three were arrested.

All three accused have been booked under sections 153A, 153B, 114, 188 and 131, 135 of Indian Penal Code(IPC) and Gujarat Police Act. DeshGujarat
