Police file cases against 24 Spa operators in Ahmedabad for breach of notification

Ahmedabad: The city Police in its briefing today said that 24 cases have been filed against the Spa and massage centre operators for breach of the notification issued by the city police commissioner.

According to police, the operators of Spa are required to share details of the operators and employees (Spa therapists). It is mandatory for a Spa operator to provide the name, address, phone number and the details of the owner to Police. A Spa operator is required to provide the full name, address, photo and mobile number of each of its employees. If the employees if foreign citizen, then her passport and visa’s copies, present and permanent address details, photo of operator and staffer and police station’s sign and stamp are mandatory. Such details need to be put on a blank paper and submitted to the relevant police station. The owner’s Aadhar card, pancard, and driving license need to be presented in the police station.

When police teams in a drive mode visited several Spas, the breach was found out at 24 locations. Subsequently the cases are filed against the offenders.

Police said, the drive shall continue for such breach of notification and other violations.

The city has around 350 Spa centres, of which over 200 are checked by police in the course of the ongoing drive.DeshGujarat
