Rickshaw driver running to save his life, died under collapsed bridge in Palanpur; Video goes viral

Palanpur: You have full trust on the system, rules and laws of the land in place, and you are standing under the slab of a railway over bridge (under construction) believing that it’s safe to halt there, but then you watch the slab is collapsing. You run away, but the slab collapse on you and you are crushed to death and buried under that tones of weight of slab.

This exactly happened to two persons who were halting in a rickshaw under the slab of under-construction railway over bridge in Palanpur in North Gujarat. One person continued to sit in a rickshaw while the other ran to save his life, but heavy slab fell on both of them and they died on the spot.

Such a gruesome was death of two persons. The incident took place on Monday afternoon during ongoing construction of a three leg elevated bridge. As many as six slabs of 250 tone weight fell on two youths. One of them could be seen in a viral video running to save his life. It later revealed that the bridge was being constructed by GPC (Ganesh Parthibhai Chaudhary) Infrastructure Limited , a firm that was in the past reportedly blacklisted by Amdavad Municipal Corporation (AMC).

The victim who died while running to save his life is identified as 18 years old Mayur Mohanbhai Chandrethiya from Vadli vala para area of Palanpur. The other victim was Ajay Khodidas Shrimali. He was also from same locality. DeshGujarat
