Amreli: Groundbreaking was performed here for setting up a small-plane manufacturing plant by Aero Freyr Incorporation in the presence of Parshottam Rupala, union minister, CR Patil, President of the ruling Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) and others in Gujarat. Groundbreaking was performed by Vadodara-based Vaishnavacharya Vrajrajkumar.

The company has an agreement with the Government of Gujarat for manufacturing, MRO(Maintenance Repair Over-whole), and FTO (Pilot Training Centre) in the state of Gujarat. The government of Gujarat has granted it permission for the utilization of Amreli Airport.

The company is led by Kantibhai Kurjibhai Sudani and his son Palkit as its directors. Palkit is also a director of the Gujarat Flying Club. The family has chosen Amreli for their aircraft manufacturing venture as it is their native place. The company has collaborated with Italy and Serbia based firms, said Palkit Patel. DeshGujarat
