Rajkot: The first rail restaurant of Gujarat and also in the Western Railways region was launched in the city today. The rail coach restaurant will provide 24-hour service, allowing the people of Rajkot to relish delicious meals with friends and family.

Named ‘Trackside Tadka,’ this unique eatery is positioned near Astro Chowk under a bridge, inviting diners to experience delightful cuisine within refurbished old train coaches, now transformed into a multi-cuisine restaurant.

The establishment includes various sections like ‘Trackside Brews’ and the ‘Loco Lounge.’ However, the highlight will be the exclusive experience of dining inside an authentic train coach.

Moreover, the restaurant comes with amenities, including air conditioning, offering Rajkot residents an array of dishes, from Chinese, Punjabi, South Indian to the authentic Gujarati Khathiyawadi Thali.

A company named Nyasha developed the project, after it obtained a five-year lease on coaches by paying Rs. 67.06 lakh to Western Railways.Nyasha will solely curate the food menu and set prices independently, without Railway intervention.
