Firecracker flames burst balloons at Mahotsav in Unjha; Over a dozen suffer burns

Mehsana: A major fire incident occurred during Ganapatidada’s Pranapratistha Mahotsav today at Brahmanwada in the Unjha taluka. During the program, a burning firecracker struck a gas balloon, causing it to burst, and around 30 people including many kids suffered burns in the incident.
Ganapati Dada’s Pran Pratishtha Mahotsav was being held today at Brahmanwada in Unjha, drawing a large number of pilgrims and devotees to join the festival. While some kids were standing with gas balloons, fireworks were being set off as part of the celebration nearby. Suddenly, a significant explosion occurred as the flame made contact with the gas balloon, resulting in burns to 30 people including many kids standing in the vicinity.

All the injured individuals received immediate first aid on the spot. After receiving initial first aid at the Primary Health Center and Unjha Sub-District Hospital, they were shifted to Lions Hospital in Mehsana. Fortunately, no fatalities have been reported in this incident; however, a brief stampede occurred. DeshGujarat
