Lightning strikes in Gujarat kill 23 ; another 23 injured, 71 cattle die

Gandhinagar: 23 persons died due to unseasonal rain in Gujarat on Sunday, November 26. Another 23 persons were injured while 71 cattle also died during the unseasonal rains.
Those dead due to strikes of lightning are from Rohisa(Jafrabad), Bhanejda(Chuda), Shiyapura(Kadi), Vadhela(Barwala), Derol(Kaalol), Agarwa(Thasra), Gadha(Idar), Kumarkhan(Viramgam), Ambheta(Hansot), Zerjitgadh(Limkheda), Chakaliya(Zalod), Vandar(Devgadh Bariya), Nani Bhatlav(Bardoli), Ugamnabara(Khambhaliya), Gundi and Khambhla(Songadh), Karela(Bharuch), Usvaniya(Dahod), Moriya(Vav) Dantiwada and Kuvarva(Deodar) villages(talukas).
These is the list of just reported deaths, and there can be more deaths due to lightning. Among those injured, 13 were injured due to various factors pertaining to heavy rains in Amreli, 9 were injured in Surat, 1 in Dwarka district due to lightning. All 71 deaths of cattle reported from across Gujarat on Sunday were due to lightening strikes. DeshGujarat
