Vadodara: Local villages in Khanpur near Vadodara city held a protest march to the district collector’s office against selling of the property of Bhimnath Mahadev temple by a priest for Rs. 2.50 crore to a builder. The villagers alleged that the property was worth Rs. 25 crore but it was sold just for Rs. 2.50 crore by a priest. The villagers alleged that they had given the land for farming for the maintenance of the ancient Bhimnath Mahadev Mandir. However, a priest sold the land of 6272 square meter size to a builder. The villagers at the end of their protest march handed over a memorandum to the additional resident collector Dr. BS Prajapati. The villagers said they had also initiated legal procedures. The villagers sought the status quo on the land. DeshGujarat
