Cleanliness campaign across religious sites in Gujarat ahead of Ram Mandir consecration

Gandhinagar: In commemoration of the consecration of the Ram Mandir in Ayodhya on January 22, a cleanliness campaign will take place at all the religious sites in Gujarat, announced Gujarat Pavitra Yatradham Vikas Board on Friday.

Yatradham Vikas Board secretary R. R. Raval declared that the cleanliness initiative would be in effect from January 1 to 22 and would include both small and large temples in urban and rural areas across Gujarat.

PM Modi had earlier appealed that all temples undertake a seven-day cleanliness campaign during January 14 and 22. The state government has decided to take up cleaning activities at all religious places. The campaign will cover main campuses, surrounding areas, and pathways leading to these religious sites, ensuring the proper disposal of waste.

District collectors have received guidelines on executing the cleanliness campaign, collaborating with representatives from political parties, cooperative societies, religious organizations, and students. DeshGujarat
