Anand: A prolonged traffic jam occurred on the Ahmedabad-Vadodara Expressway on Friday. The traffic congestion, stretching approximately 5 kilometers, was observed near Vasad, a town in the Anand District.

The National Highway Authority of India is conducting maintenance work on the bridge over the Mahisagar River on the expressway. Due to this bridge work, one side of the expressway has been closed, and a diversion has been implemented on the highway, resulting in this traffic jam. Vehicles traveling from Vadodara towards Ahmedabad were stuck in this traffic jam for hours. The ongoing bridge work has become a daily problem for commuters moving to and fro between Ahmedabad and Vadodara. DeshGujarat
