Gujarat govt in its budget provisions Rs. 33 crore to set up School of Semiconductor

Gandhinagar: The Government of Gujarat will set up a School of Semiconductor in the State. Finance Minister Kanubhai Desai made this announcement today in his annual budget speech.

Desai announced Rs. 33 crore allocation for setting up the School of Semiconductor in partnership with the Micron company which has started construction of its semiconductor plant, first in India at Sanand near Ahmedabad city.

The Finance Minister announced, “A provision of ₹33 crore for setting up a School of Semiconductor at Sanand in collaboration with Micron, an International company to create the skilled youth in Semiconductor sector.”
