Rs. 100 crore provisioned in Gujarat budget to develop Metro rail in Vadodara and Rajkot

Gandhinagar: Gujarat government has made provision of Rs. 100 crore budget in the Urban Development department “to develop Metro Rail Transport System in Vadodara and Rajkot City.”

It’s worth noting that while Gujarat’s largest city Ahmedabad has Metro rail facility and the works are underway for Metro rail system in Gandhinagar and Surat, the third and fourth largest cities of the State that are Vadodara and Rajkot don’t have Metro rail projects so far.

As per the budget documents, the State government has allocated Rs. 100 crore to develop metro rail transport system in Vadodara and Rajkot for financial year 2024-25. DeshGujarat
