Sittings of Gujarat Assembly on Feb 22, 23 to be canceled
February 13, 2024
Gandhinagar: The sittings of the ongoing Gujarat Assembly budget session on February 22nd and 23rd are going to be canceled. The decision to cancel sittings on February 22nd and 23rd is taken in view of the scheduled Gujarat visit of Prime Minister Narendrabhai Modi.
The Legislative Assembly typically convenes twice a day. Therefore, considering the canceled meetings on February 22-23, two meetings will be rescheduled for February 27 and 28, with an additional two meetings on February 15 and 16.
On the other hand, the sitting on February 15th will be conducted before the first half, as all MLAs and the council of ministers are going to visit Ambaji Mandir that day. Both BJP and Congress party MLAs will leave for the temple town Ambaji on the afternoon of the 15th and will take part in the evening aarti and prasadi at the temple. As part of the 51 Shaktipeeth Parikrama festival, the darshan of Ambaji Mata has been organized by Assembly Speaker Shankar Chaudhary, with 4 Volvo buses arranged for the MLAs. DeshGujarat
