March 09, 2024
Surat: Several pupils go to school by autorickshaw. A case has come to light in the Sagarampura area where an 11-year-old child was allegedly being molested by an autorickshaw puller named Akhtar Raza. The rickshaw puller was exposed after women made videos of his actions.
The incident came to light when a woman noticed that a rickshaw puller was molesting an 11-year-old girl. She recorded the video on her phone and informed a student living in the girl’s building, so the student took the woman to the girl’s house, where she showed the video to her mother. Shocked to know this when the mother inquired, the girl said that the rickshaw puller had threatened to burn her if she reported the incident at home. When the mother asked the girl in detail, she said that the rickshaw puller Akhtar used to stop the rickshaw for 8–10 minutes near Sagarampura and engage in dirty acts.
Later, after the girl’s mother filed a complaint, the Athwa police registered and arrested Akhtar Raza Muniyar (42) (residence, Maulvi Street, Sagarampura) in sections related to rape, POCSO, and threatening. The accused is married but has no children. The police suspect who accused Akhtar may have lured other students into his trap.
Akhtar Raza Muniyar confessed to the police that he used to get excited by watching porn videos on his mobile phone and then used to do dirty things with the girl. Currently, the police have sent the phone to FSL. Apart from this, the accused has also allegedly victimized another girl, and in that direction, the police have started an investigation. DeshGujarat
