Shah Rukh Khan rushed to hospital in Ahmedabad

Ahmedabad: The first IPL qualifier match between Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) and Sunrisers Hyderabad (SRH) took place at the Narendra Modi Stadium in the city on Tuesday. Bollywood actor and owner of KKR, Shah Rukh Khan, who was in the city to support his team, was rushed to KD Hospital this afternoon after suffering a heat stroke.
Shah Rukh Khan has been in Ahmedabad for the past two days. Following the Kolkata Knight Riders’ match yesterday, Shah Rukh Khan returned to the ITC Narmada Hotel late at night. His health deteriorated in the morning, and he was subsequently taken to KD Hospital where he was diagnosed with dehydration.
There has been no official statement from the hospital or Shahrukh’s team about his discharge. However, it is reported that his health is now stable, but he decided not to return to Mumbai today as he needed some rest.
Shahrukh’s wife Gauri also reached K D Hospital this evening to be with her husband. Actress and a close friend of SRK, Juhi Chawla along with her husband Jay Mehta was also seen visiting the hospital.
In an interview to a news channel, Chawla said, “Shah Rukh was not feeling too well last night but he is being attended to and was feeling much better this evening. God willing, he will soon be up, and in the stands on the weekend, cheering the team, as we play the finals”
Over the past 24 hours, five districts in the state recorded maximum temperatures above 45 degrees Celsius. Today, Ahmedabad’s maximum temperature reached 45 degrees Celsius, prompting the Meteorological Department to issue a red alert for the city for the next two days, with temperatures expected to reach 46 degrees Celsius.
