Ambaji Temple’s 3D theatre – Glass bridge tunnel sealed over fire safety concerns

Ambaji: The 3D theatre within the Ambaji temple premises has recently been sealed due to fire safety violations. An investigation by Danta Mamlatdar’s team and the fire department revealed numerous safety lapses which led to the immediate closure of the theatre and its glass walkway.

Featuring fiber statues of 51 Shaktipeeths and Mahishasur Mardini, the theatre accommodates 160 people in its two halls. The glass walk is also a major attraction for visitors. Following the recent Rajkot game zone fire tragedy, authorities inspected the theatre for fire safety measures. A joint investigation by Danta Mamlatdar’s team and the fire department revealed numerous safety violations including the use of flammable materials and the absence of fire extinguishers. UGVCL reports also raised concerns over electrical load surpassing the connection capacity.

A notice was issued to Devesh Enterprise, the management company responsible for the theatre. In response, they requested for rechecking. They were unable to provide the required fire safety equipment and NOC during the subsequent inspection. Consequently, the 3D theatre and its glass walkway were sealed immediately. The theatre’s closure will remain in effect until it obtains the necessary fire safety equipments and NOC. DeshGujarat
