Vadodara Airport to add 3rd aerobridge, replacing old ATC tower
June 11, 2024
Vadodara: A third aerobridge is set to be installed at Vadodara Airport, replacing the old Air Traffic Control (ATC) tower. The construction of a new ATC building is currently underway, with operations anticipated within the next 20 days. After the new ATC tower starts operating, construction of the third aerobridge will begin.
Work on both the old and new ATC towers is happening simultaneously. Once the new ATC tower is operational, the old tower will be demolished to accommodate the third aerobridge.
This additional aerobridge is deemed necessary due to the increasing passenger traffic at the airport. Currently, Vadodara Airport operates with two aerobridges, but the addition of a third will streamline boarding processes and improve overall efficiency for passengers. DeshGujarat
