Passengers complain of delay as Rahul Gandhi’s arrives at Ahmedabad Airport

Ahmedabad: Congress MP and Lok Sabha Leader of Opposition Rahul Gandhi is visiting Gujarat today. The former Congress president’s arrival at Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel International (SVPI) Airport in the city became chaotic and time-consuming for fellow travelers. Passengers on the same flight reported a delay in deboarding due to a security exercise after Gandhi chose to travel by bus with other passengers rather than the vehicles that were present to receive him securely.

One social media user wrote a long post on X (formerly Twitter) and said, “My flight landed in Ahmedabad with a VVIP onboard #RahulGandhi for डरो मत डराओ मत रैली। Out of 4-5 vehicles came to receive him till aircraft, he chooses to go by bus with passengers at the end; after a 20 minute security exercise to organise his convoy before opening gates of our standing aircraft with waiting passengers

“I terribly failed to understand this dramatic time waste exercise. He already had a bodyguard and 3 assistant in flight. He could have simply instructed his security to received him at airport building. If he actually wanted to travel like other passengers? Instead of 4 of his security vehicles driving behind n front of bus to give a message that he is down to earth inside the bus in highly secured airport.” the user added.
