Jamnagar: Three individuals, including two brothers, attacked two staffers of Paschim Gujarat Vij Company Ltd (PGVCL) today in the Kalavad area of the city. The accused, identified as Nawaz Babi, Hussain Babi, and Junaid Rao, allegedly struck the PGVCL staffers on their heads with soda bottles, causing injuries.
A complaint has been filed with the Kalavad police regarding the assault and obstruction of duty. The incident occurred when Bachubhai Govindbhai Solanki, working as a Vidyut Shayak at PGVCL in Kalavad (originally from Sutrapada), and Rahulgiri Bharatgiri Goswami, an apprentice at PGVCL, visited a shop named Sweet Pan on Dhoraji Road to collect outstanding payments for the power bill. The three accused violently attacked them with soda bottles.
The Kalavad town police reviewed CCTV footage from the shop and have apprehended Nawaz Babi, while Junaid Rao is absconding. Hussain Babi, Nawaz’s brother, has been issued a notice as he is a minor. The search for Junaid Rao is ongoing. DeshGujarat
