Extended structure of Dargah demolished in Bhuj – Mankuva
September 22, 2024
Bhuj: The menacing activities of creating Dargah at every and any place and then doing encroachment there are increasing day by day. In a latest action, the administration removed the extended structure of a dargah in Bhuj and Mankuva; however, the dargah itself was kept as it was. The structure was built right in the middle of the public road. The administration also removed another religious structure of the same nature, which was obstructing the flow of the river. The action is believed to be a response to recent incidents of stone-pelting on Ganesh Visarjan processions. The administration will continue to remove such illegal structures obstructing the flow of rivers, public roads, and railway lines.
At 6 a.m. on Sunday, Prant Officer Anil B. Jadav and his team, with police support, began the operation. On the bypass road from Bhuj’s District Industrial Center to Airplane Circle, a wall-like structure erected near a Dargah, which obstructed vehicles passing on the road, was demolished and removed. Another encroachment, where someone had illegally built a four-walled structure with a metal sheet ceiling, was cleared from the road between Bhuj and Mandvi Road.
When contacted, Collector Amit Arora stated that the action was part of a routine procedure. Village Mamlatdar Bharat Shah, high-ranking police officers, revenue teams, and police personnel were present during the operation. DeshGujarat
