11 Game Zones get permission to re-open in Surat
October 23, 2024
Surat: In a festive boost ahead of Diwali, the police department and Surat Municipal Corporation (SMC) have granted permission for the reopening of 11 game zones and amusement parks in the city. This permission has been granted in compliance with the newly implemented Gujarat Amusement Rides and Gaming Zone Activities Safety Rules, 2024, which were introduced in August to enforce stricter safety measures.
The new regulations necessitate thorough inspections and establish compliance standards regarding road width, minimum area, building height, and parking space. Gaming zones must now obtain multiple no-objection certificates, including those for fire safety and BU approvals.
In another update, the Ahmedabad Municipal Corporation (AMC) also issued its first operating permit to a standalone gaming facility located near Chharodi on SG Road on Tuesday. DeshGujarat
