Banaskantha: Banas Dairy Chairman and Gujarat Assembly Speaker, Shankar Chaudhary, inaugurated a Gaumutra dairy in Abala village of Bhabhar. This is the first-of-its-kind dairy, capable of processing up to 10,000 liters of cow urine per day into liquid organic fertilizer.
The dairy was inaugurated in the presence of former Union Minister Dr. Vallabhbhai Katheriya and Brahma Savitri Siddha Pithadhishwavar Brahma Rushi Tulcharam Maharaj.
In this regard, Bhavesh Purohit, Director of the Cow Urine Dairy, stated that 10,000 liters of cow urine are purchased daily from cowherds, and the urine is processed into three parts. Research conducted by a modern lab shows that 10,000 liters of cow urine can yield 5 liters of pure water. The remaining portion is mixed with herbs and processed by the plant to create liquid organic fertilizer, which will be sold to farmers to encourage organic farming.
Additionally, cowherds in the surrounding areas will benefit from employment opportunities. The plant will purchase cow urine worth 50 to 60 thousand rupees daily, promoting cow breeding. The plant has been set up with the goal of encouraging farmers to shift to organic farming. DeshGujarat
