Azaan from loud speakers of a mosque disturbing exam; student approaches police

Vadodara: M.S. University Law Faculty’s semester exam is conducted from 11:30 a.m. to 2:30 p.m., with an attendance of around 850 students. The faculty is located opposite the Fatehgunj Bridge.
Students have reported disturbances during the exam, especially after 1 p.m., due to the loud Azaan sound from loudspeakers at a nearby mosque. On Monday, a student approached the Fatehgunj Police Station and submitted an application seeking police intervention regarding the loud noise of the Azaan.
In the application, the student stated that approximately 850 students appear for the morning exam schedule, while 750 participate in the afternoon and evening sessions. The exams are scheduled to continue until December 2.
The loud noise of the Azaan from the loudspeaker, which lasts for about 20 minutes, is reportedly affecting the examination environment and causing mental harassment to the students – the student stated in his application and requested a resolution to this issue in the written application submitted to the police.
