Minimum temperatures rise in several cities of Gujarat, bringing respite from cold

Gandhinagar: Ahmedabad and other parts of Gujarat witnessed a slight increase in minimum temperatures today, offering some respite from the winter chill. Ahmedabad recorded a minimum temperature of 14.9°C, 1.3°C above normal, reflecting a marginal rise compared to yesterday. Vadodara and Rajkot also saw a surge in mercury, recording 13.8°C and 10.8°C, respectively.

Other locations in the region also reported higher minimum temperatures, with Deesa at 12.8°C (+1.6°C from normal) and Bhavnagar at 15.4°C (+0.3°C). However, cooler spots like Naliya and Porbandar continued to experience below-normal temperatures, at 5.7°C (-5.4°C) and 10.9°C (-4.9°C), respectively.

The rising trend in minimum temperatures is expected to bring moderate relief, particularly during the early morning hours, as dry weather conditions prevail. DeshGujarat
