Ahmedabad RTO suspends Rapido’s license
January 07, 2025
Ahmedabad: The license of a radio cab operator was suspended after the RTO found violations of license conditions. The RTO also issued notices to all cab operators, instructing them to ensure that two-wheelers used for passenger transport are registered as transport vehicles.
Acting on a complaint, the RTO found that Rapido was providing taxi services despite being registered only for rickshaw services. As a result, Rapido’s license has been suspended for a month.
In another development, cab operators using non-transport vehicles, particularly two-wheelers, to transport passengers have been given a 15-day deadline to stop using non-transport vehicles. DeshGujarat
