Electric vehicle catches fire in Ahmedabad

Ahmedabad: A fire broke out in an electric two-wheeler scooter on a road near Dakshini Society in the Maninagar area of the city. Two students were riding the vehicle when the blaze suddenly erupted. However, they managed to escape unharmed.

The incident occurred on a busy road near Dakshini Society when the two students were traveling on an electric scooter by the Oreva company, and suddenly the vehicle caught fire. The students jumped off the scooter unharmed. The fire brigade was promptly alerted and reached the scene to extinguish the flames. The cause of the fire is still under investigation.

The owner of the scooter, Prashant Bhai, said, “My son and his friend were traveling on the scooter when they noticed smoke coming from the vehicle. They got down and checked the scooter, but got scared when they saw the smoke. In their panic, they ran, and at the same time, the vehicle burst into flames.”

“This is bad. We bought it after paying over Rs. 75,000, and this vehicle is under warranty. My question is, if something had happened to my son, would the company have returned it to me? I bought this scooter because it’s from a reputed company. Otherwise, cheaper vehicles are available for 30-40 thousand,” he added. DeshGujarat
