Rs. 316.82 crore Para High Performance Sports Centre to come up in Gandhinagar in 2 years

Gandhinagar: Union Minister and Gandhinagar Lok Sabha seat representative Amit Shah today performed groundbreaking for construction of a Para High Performance Sports Centre in Gandhinagar in the presence of State Chief Minister Bhupendra Patel.
According to Sports Minister of Gujarat, Harsh Sanghavi, the Centre will come up in the next two years at a cost of Rs. 316.82 crore.
The Sports Centre will have a training centre for 12 out of 23 Paralympic games. It will also have a Sports Science Lab. The centre will have complete accessibility in its design and make.
A 24,290 sq m Sports Centre will have two 400-seater each multipurpose halls and the latest fitness centre with the provision of fitness coaches.
It will have facilities for Sitting volleyball, wheelchair rugby, wheelchair basketball, para dance sports, para powerlifting, badminton, table tennis, goalball, judo, taekwondo, swimming etc. games. DeshGujarat
